Volunteering Project

Update

As we continue to do our best to keep everyone safe, our Volunteering Drop-in's are not currently taking place.  However we are still here for all your volunteering needs in the local area. We hope to restart when it is safe for all to do so.

Please contact us Red Gables on 01449 673947, Email [email protected]

Or visit our Facebook page: facebook.com/volunteerredgables.

With the support of Stowmarket Town Council, we are aiming to improve volunteering in the town and adjoining area.

Our aim is to get organisations who need volunteers and people who want to volunteer together.  We hold weekly drop-in session every Thursday 10:30 - 12:30pm, where we will be on hand to help with any volunteering needs you may have.

There are lots of opportunities out there for those who are looking to do something in their spare time. We have had over a dozen charitable organisations approach us saying they have got opportunities as varied as befrienders, drivers, administration work, environmental, shop assistants and committee members.

At Red Gables we have a number of volunteers that support different projects here. They say to us that they love giving something back to the community and they really like being part of a team.

Suffolk Axis

Suffolk Axis currently require a mini bus driver to transport their members who live in the Mid Suffolk area to Red Gables or Stowmarket Community Centre and home again.

It is important you are physically able to take on this role and have category D1 on your licence.

A current DBS and MIDAS would be a benefit but these can be arranged.
