Redwoods Lunch Club
Our award winning Monday lunch club, based in the Redwoods building (old library), opened its doors In December 2012.
We run on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Monday of every month between 10 am and 1:30pm. On the 1st Monday a home cooked soup and a desert is provided. On the 2nd and 4th Mondays there is a main meal, supplied by Cabbages and Kings at The Mix, which includes both a meat and vegetarian option. A dessert, prepared by our volunteers, or fresh fruit is also included.
Having started with 15 diners we now regularly get numbers of 40+ aged between 55 and 95. There is always a range of activities available, including talks, quizzes, an exercise class, bingo, live music, etc.

Red Gables projects are dementia friendly and our building is fully wheelchair accessible with a disabled toilet available. A carer should also attend with those needing a higher level of assistance, but our friendly volunteer team will be on hand to lend a hand where appropriate and make everyone welcome.
Soup days are £3 per head, with the other two being £6 per head. We can work around allergies and provide alternatives where needed.
All are welcome, but booking is essential.
